What is it?
- Channel Online is a web based research and purchasing tool offered to ProTech Computer System’s customers.
What does Channel Online do?
- It allows our customers to research products, organize and save quotes, and place orders over the web.
How is this site different from 1000s of other web “stores”?
- Channel Online allows customers to see for the first time what their vendors see: Hardware and Software from all of the major OEMs that are in the main distribution channel.
- Channel Online has no product, OEM or other supplier ads-strictly a functional site.
- Channel Online is not a Public Site-Strictly for IT Professionals who wish to research or purchase IT hardware and software online.
How does Channel Online work?
- Customers can now see what in the past only their vendors could see:
- channel availability
- detailed part descriptions
- accessories
- Alternates products/parts
- Customized pricing
- Find parts through:
- Specific part number search (e.g. 3C905B)
- Product description (e.g. 10/100 PCI NIC)
- Vendor search (e.g. 3Com)
- Category search/subsearch (Networking/Network Interface cards/PCI/10/100/3Com)
- Multipart search
- Customers can save quotes by a descriptive name, quote number, etc.
- Saved quotes can become an online purchase
- Previous orders may be duplicated
- Multiple ship to addresses are allowed
